PHP Namespaces are a go

Thanks to the patch of Dimitri, the PHP namespaces are finally going to be implemented. It hasn't been said for which release, but they are coming. And I like it! This might even be the start for codeblock namespaces as well. Looks like PHP is really going to be a decent OOP language. Did I say I love it, allready?

Zend Certified Engineer

I passed! Last friday, I passed Zend's certification test for PHP5. The exam was pretty tricky, but I made it through. And for passing the test, Zend kindly rewarded me the title of Zend Certified Engineer, and offered me a nice logo to use on my website:

Now the wait can start for Ligaya to pass too. Read her blog here!

UPDATE: And Ligaya passed too. Congrats lig!

C# certified

Just 2 days and a couple of hours before I am scheduled to take the ZCE exam, I dared to take the 'Programming in C#' test at ExpertRating.com, and passed. All the 'advanced programming' topics were passed at 80%+ score, and the theory questions at average rating (0 correct on CLR). Overall score: 62%, and I'm happy with that for now. Maybe I retake the test one time, when I pick up some C# projects again, as I currently haven't done anything in C# for the past 6+ months.

And with the test comes a nice logo:

ZCE exam: here we come!

Webdevelopment evolution

I like PHP. No, better said: I love PHP. I've been developing in PHP for over 4 years, and it never failed me on creating a solution for a real problem. And it has allways been fun to play with. But lately, I've run more and more into the shortcomings of PHP. I coped with it for a long while, but it became harder and harder to motivate myself to continue developing in it, and the urge to change whole PHP grew more and more.
